Law Commission at the House of Representatives (DPR) will select five commissioners for the 2015-2019 term of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) this evening. Out of 10 candidates that participated in the fit and proper test during the last three days, parliamentarians favored Basaria Panjaitan, Alexander Marmata and Surya Tjandra.

Again, several names of DPR members from 2009-2014 were mentioned to have received rewards for approving budget for various government projects proposed by former Democrat Party Treasurer, Muhammad Nazaruddin. One of the implicated is former member of Commission V from PKB faction, Marwan Jafar – now serving as Minister for Rural, Underdeveloped Regions and Transmigration.
