Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) noticed that the performance of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) have been slackening. This is indicated by the number of cases that stagnate in investigation and not developed to prosecutions.

Otto Cornelis Kaligis, suspect in alleged bribery at Medan Administrative Court, filed three judicial reviews at once at the Constitution Court. Kaligis contested Article 46 paragraph (2) and Article 45 paragraph (1) of Law no. 30/202 about KPK as well as Article 1 item (2) of the Law of Criminal Procedures.

ICW called on the government to erase corruption articles from the Draft of Criminal Code. If these offenses are included, corruption offense will lose its extraordinary properties. In turn, this will generalize case treatment between corruption offense and other criminal offenses.
“DPR to Exercise Investigative Rights on Pelindo Case”

The move by House of Representatives (DPR) to set up a Special Committee (Pansus) on Pelindo case was unanimously agreed by all factions in Commission III and designed as a cross-commission setup. Deputy Chairman of DPR proposed to exercise the parliament's investigative rights in this case.
