Result oriented paradigm in law enforcement, particularly in the Police Force, should be reformed. Thus far, the benchmark of success is the number of arrests and prison sentences, when actually the function and objective of law is not simply for enforcement.

Former Minister of Religion Suryadharma Ali said he was shocked when Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named him as suspect in alleged corruption of hajj pilgrimage funds. And even more when KPK mentioned the state loss from his acts amounted to Rp 1.8 trillion.
